                                                              BCT Announces Senior Leadership Changes to Embark on a New Strategic Journey

                                                              The board of directors (the “Board”) of BCT Group is pleased to announce today the senior leadership succession arrangement. Ms Ka Shi Lau, the current Managing Director & CEO of Bank Consortium Trust Company Limited and BCT Financial Limited (“BCT”), will take up a new role as Senior Advisor and Ms Jamie Lee will succeed Ka Shi in these positions with effect from 1 June 2022.

                                                               

                                                              The Board would like to express its appreciation to Ka Shi for her great contribution in spearheading BCT in reaching a position where it is now. As a steadfast and strategic leader, Ka Shi has navigated BCT to reach new horizons in the past two decades and marked the history of the group with major transformations. Those changes have strengthened BCT’s position as a key market player with Ka Shi as a reputable industry leader, recognized by the Government, regulators and the financial services sectors.


                                                              In consideration of Ka Shi’s profound experience and knowledge, the Board has invited Ka Shi to take up a new role as Senior Advisor to serve the pension and fund industries with her valuable experience and insights.


                                                              Subsequent to Ka Shi transiting to a new role, Ms Jamie Lee will be appointed as the new Managing Director & CEO of both Bank Consortium Trust Company Limited and BCT Financial Limited on 1 June 2022. Prior to joining BCT, Jamie was the CEO of Sun Life Pension Trust Limited and the Head of Business Development and Product Proposition of Sun Life’s Wealth and Pension business where she orchestrated strategic undertakings to enhance the sales and quality of the business. With her solid experience and proven track record, the Board is confident that Jamie will lead the management team forward and position BCT group for the next phase of growth. Mr Bob Lee, Deputy CEO, who has been with BCT for more than 15 years taking up various senior positions, will work closely with Jamie to bring BCT to an ever-growing success.
